Who is interested in a circumnavigation of Green Island on Saturday? The current forecast is predicting 13knot breeze for late Saturday morning. Refer the graph below. I'll be sailing a Mistral Superlight 11 with either my 9.9 or 8.5m2 sail.
Low tide is 3.30pm and is very low, hence it would be good to be back at Manly by at least 1.00pm to avoid tramping through the mud. I'm planning to leave the breakwater at 11.00am and would welcome company. Lets get those long or hybrid boards out of the garage. See you at the breakwater around 10.30am.
Sorry, but I got the day wrong. I'm planning to sail on Friday, same time of 10.30am at the end of the breakwater at manly.
Hi,
I'm actually heading out off Redcliff to Windsurf around and see the start of the Brisbane to Gladstone...
and see the sheer speed of a ORMA 60 Tri in the flesh...
Predict it could finish the race in 15 to 16 hours (308 Nm) and take a couple of hours off the current multi record - and smash the mono's..
Cheers

Good to meet you today John. Probably will head over to Sandgate tomorrow morning for another session.
Cheers
Michael
I thought about you guys when heading back from fishing at harries artificial.
Certainly was very pleasant with an esky full of mulloway in the lee of Green with all the yachts heading North.
Let me know if you want to organise a boat photo session next time you go out.
Dan.
Dan,
Glad you were thinking of us. I'm afraid there was only one of me on the water. Everone else piked. Did you see the lone sailboarder coming between Green and St Hellena Islands heading back to the Manly at about 12.30? I had a great sail. Up on plane on all points of sail. Just love the Superlight in 12kts of breeze. What a beautiful morning on the bay.
I hope the fish were tasty. I saw a huge turtle on the outside of Green Island. Does anyone know what species it would be.
John
Hey John. I went past Green around 10am. The fan was running about 12kn s/sw at that time.
Keep up the meet & greet posts. Keen to see you out there.....
Dan.
