So I had a small accident.

Anybody got any tips for a sailmaker that can fix this, preferably Brisbane northside. I reckon it needs the seam re-stitched and patches over the tears in the film. Or am I kidding myself and this sail's dead?

That should be easy, just takes a little time contact Goodtime or Board Crazy and they will have contacts, theres a good guy on the gold coast if your up here.

Ian, theres actually 'North Sails' in Kipparing, in beach street.

I have had a few sails repaired here, the only thing I would say is that they may not have all the same fabrics as a windsurf specialist repairer, so if you are after a semaless job so the sail looks as new, I am not sure if its for you. But worth checking out as they are local for you. Quality of repairs has been fine for me.

Thanks Haggar,

I'm taking into those guys tomorrow morning and will see what they can offer. I don't really expect the sail will look new afterwards but think, if the seam can be re-stitsched, some clear patches over the tears will look OK

Fairly sure that Manders are at Coorparoo, have had a few sails repaired there over the years

Will Pringle on goldcoast is apparently another good one if you are ever down the coast

Ben Kelly who used to be on the GC but is now in brissy so i'm told, was always very reasonably priced and very helpful:)

It looks like that was done with your scone given the position, well done. I had a wave sail repaired at BoardCrazy with similar damage on the xply. The only thing they couldn't do was match the colours. If you can live with that then it should be fine.
