Wow epic day. Sailed the Alley this AM. Guest appearance by Dave Mik who broke his toe and cracked the webbing. Get well soon mate. The swell is effectively breaking from Palm Beach reef to the Alley. My heart rate maxed out and went home b1tch slapped by Oswald!!! woo hoo

1.5m Swell up the river next to the gateway. I work at Rivergate marina there and never seen anything like it. Should've seen the tug boats and city cats come in to berth. Those guys have balls doing it with that kind of wind, tide and waves. Poor Police boats were gets absolutely hammered! Anyone get gopro footage today?? That would be sayyyweeeeetttt

I had the boat out there yesterday and when the tide was against it there was a breaking wave up there. It flattened out totally once the tide turned but with the wind today I can see how that could become quite treacherous.

Got some gopro shots of Manly today, might try and get a snippet together for you. Had the helmet cam on and unfortunately it doesn't look as epic as it really was.

It was amazing but scary at the same time... You almost couldnt stand straight on the fuel wharf.

Very keen to see whatever youve got haha. Yeh I hate it when it doesn't come out as awesome as it is when youre actually there.

I guess inner beacon is now the inner, inner beacon? Have you seen it drifting past Richie?

Couple of pics of Sunshine Coats today, the pics dont really do it justice..bigger in real life.

Mudjimba a washing machine right up to the stairs and out of control seas...

Mooloolaba sea was right up to the rock wall, swell actually fairly clean and sizy, few surfers out, definatly doable and tempting in 18-22knts but the shear amount of water pushing up would make gettig out really difficult as so on shore..

3 kiters out at Mool basically riding close to shore and parallel to the waves, must have had to launch in car park as no beach?

Wind is fizzing out really quick up here,,lake sailing best option, plenty up trees up rooted and snapped branches...guess it must have been windy?!
