Did someone mention free lemonade?

Also my mo will be at it's peak!

I'm coming along thinking of going to this brand as they have a 6.7 wave sail, thoughts?

After spending the last four days with Ben and Matt in Merimbula, I can assure everyone that they will benefit from the clinic in one way or another.
Everyone is welcome regardless of which brand you ride!
Cheers

the blade 6.7 is probably lighter then most <6m wavesails from other brands. however i agree, 6.7m sail is massive. I don't think you really need to go bigger then 6m, as there is very little to gain in wind range going much bigger. 6.2m is probably a better option, as its a bit more compact and plus it rigs on a 430 mast, so probably less of an investment.

my biggest sail now is a 5.6 s-1. I can't see any point in a bigger wavesail, if I wanted a bigger sail, it'd have to be a 8m+ race sail. Case in point about a fortnight ago I was sailing on the broadwater, the slalom guys were on 7.8-8.3m sails, and I was still planing most of the time on my 5.6m.

cheers swoosh, my main wave sail is 6.2 Naish Force, Ive been getting a few tips on fine tuning the setup to get greater efficiency from my rig.

I only use 2 sails, 5.3 for high winds, 6.2 everything else.

I think my main issue is fin, downhaul and outhaul.

made changes to these, Ill see what happens.

btw I'm 6'3 95kg so it need s abit of wind to chug my fat ass!

Looking forward to tonight lads, Im sure Ill get a few good tips.

Guys if you are only 50/50 on going to this then I can well recommend getting along.

A few of us got to spend a bit of time with Ben and Matt at the Corona on the weekend, a got a few waves with the boys on the way home at Gerroa, and I have to say both have heaps of knowledge on the gear and are very generous. So much so that I have been riding Bens own board for the past few days... and it's a cracker!!!

Should be a good night, and I would be very surprised if you didn't learn something from the event.

md, there are a few things I would look at if I were you, and a bigger sail isn't the answer. I only use a 5.8 and 5.4 and ride a 92lt, and have just ordered 5.7 and 5.3 as my only sails. I got to use an Enigma boom for a few days and am sold on getting a carbon boom. The power transfer was incredible, I didn't think there would be that much difference but obviously us bigger guys end up loosing a bit through the flex of an alloy boom. I would put the $$$ you would spend on a bigger sail into that.

That's a good thing. It's better, lighter... AND cheaper. You can probably get a new sail+mast for less then a new sail from other 'premium' brands!
