Given the current wind conditions we have had in SE Qld are we all trying to sail at the wrong time of day .... Seems all week that late evening the wind has really blown,....should we be adding navigation lights and letting rip
Yes I am board ....sailed only once this week and waiting for tomorrow
cheers

haha - why not!!!
A few mates and I used go for some night sails up at lake cootharaba when a good SE was blowing. The first time was light less - totally crazy - pretty much a guessing game :). After that we used a couple of glow sticks- one on the front and one on the back of the boom - did the trick. it looked so weird from the shore - these little glowing lights fangin up and down the beach!
The main issues are a) you cant see the chop for S$*t!! makes it pretty interesting b) you cant see the gusts either - again - makes it a little hard on the sail choice :)
I reckon a head torch would be wicked - maybe need to tape it on - then maybe different coloured LEDs so you could tell which wy someone was goin.
Get out there!
I went for a night surf once... long time ago. You can't see anything, everything happens very suddenly and unexpectedly. Good fun though.
Ok
I know where "Kirra? Currumbin? Train? all are but.......Bunnings (give up)?
Yes Evil Panda.. i do give up
where is This fantastic Sailing Spot Bunnings.... sure when I go to Bunning, I generally get sore hands and back afterwards...but not wet?
cheers

All Jokes aside, does Redcliff work in the Forecasted Winds??
There's a little spot up at the northernmost tip of Scaborough, but I think it might be better with a little more west in the breeze. Don't know whether it works in NNW.
Haggar will know...
