Simon Bornhoft is one of the leading windsurf coaches in the world. He runs a number of clinics in Perth every year and has been persuaded to visit us here in Brisbane before heading over to WA.
Simon is running the 2 day course at Lake Cootharaba at the end of November and there are still a couple of places left.
It would be great to fill the course so we can get him back again in the future.
Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to improve your gybing, early planing and general sailing skills, being coached by one of the best.
I am helping Simon out with local info etc as he has not visited us here before so feel free to contact me with any questions about logistics.
For more information about the course and to reserve your place visit www.Windwise.net
The course is listed under WIndsurfing holidays / Western Australia for some reason but I think we can forgive him.....
Cheers,
Paul.
Hi Paul,
Seems like a great opportunity and one not to be missed. The dates on the website for Brisbane are 29 Nov & 1 Dec. Is there suppose to be a day in between? Also is the location now nailed down for lake Cootharaba? Trying to tag this on to the end of a camping trip I am about to organise and need to see if I can get it all to align
Cheers
Paul
I read his "Windsurfing" and " RYA Windsurfing Intermediate book" before. I also bought his "RYA Winsurfing Advanced " (not read yet). I think he is good but I can't afford 285pound ><
Well what a fantastic weekend for wind, effort & persistence.
We braved rain and cold on the Saturday going over light wind key skills to help when the wind starts to blow and on Sunday it did, giving us a chance to put some of those skills into practice.
Fantastic spot to learn, great food and beer in the pub for the evening gathering, top accommodation, a great bunch of people on the course and fantastic top quality coaching from Simon.
An all round awesome weekend.
Let???s hope we can tempt him over to do it all again next year!
I give the weekend a big thumbs up as well. Now I just have to put everything I learnt into practice.
I agree, it was a great weekend with the wind giving us a good range of conditions to learn. Fingers crossed Simon comes back next year. It will save me travelling to him. Start working on him Paul
I had a ticket for this but had to miss it due to a broken thumb, funny its been blowing heaps since it happened.
Simon having a chat with Nicole on the Sunday morning
Paul and Paul deciding what to rig. Does anyone else have any photos of the weekend?
I just checked out the windwise site and there is a great set of gybing sequences from you all. Looks like a good course, can you let me know the costs for that one?
I was away on a fishing trip this year but if it doesn't clash next year I would be keen.
