Well I got the call, I leave for Africa in the morning, I hope you get better breeze than today and I look forward to catching up when I get back.
It was brilliant yesterday - NE steady 20 knots flat as a tack and great sunny weather. Kidding but at least we got a sail and I tried out the new fin - not really the best conditions for it but it felt good.
Im glad you got a sail, I hope the fin is working for you Dave. Well boys im here (Africa) the trip was killer 26hrs, sleep deprived but all is well. I got to meet the boys im working with, there a grate bunch and speak enough English that we can all chat and laugh, lucky because my French is shocking. Well boys have fun ill post some photo's soon.
Hi im have a awesome time over here the people are so nice and friendly, I haven't been out to far yet but im loving it, im staying a bit longer than I first thought as I've already drummed up more work. This my guide and interpreter they didn't wont me to take a photo of them so started playing with there phones
Hi all im alive and well, everything is clicking in place and I love it here. I have setup so much work I might have to get more gear sent over. Its not as hot as I thought most day its about the same a back there, but when it rains the heavens truly open and the lightning is amassing. We had 40knt here yesterday and there is a big dam just up the road supper flat water, if I had just had some gear here. I guess the water wouldn't be good for me but hay just don't fall in.
I hope your getting plenty of sailing in
Jason
Not bad today Jason but a bit blustery and the wind kept swinging. Still everyone got a few planing runs so none of us are complaining. When are you due back?
At this stage I do not know, there is a lot more work here than we first anticipated and I have meetings with more companies today. Im in no rush as long as I can keep the work coming in its money in my pocket and the boss happy.
Well im still kicking, still having a ball over here. I just wonted to see is sombody can pick a board up from Brisbane for me, I know its a big ask but if you are up that way. Its just a bit hard from over here. I will pay for fuel. I see the wind is coming to you. Happy sailing >:)>:)
Scrap that I was out bid. Owell im back out in the Bush tomorrow so ill post photo's when I get back
Well im back from the Bush for two day, its hot *******hot but im having a ball. The people are so helpful, conditions are a bit rugged but hay thats all part of the fun. I hope you like the photos.!:
Where were you?? Looks fun! Southen edge of Sahara? The town looks like a Mauritanian town... Mali? Niger? Sudan? perhaps...
Oh, hang on, there's a clue in the first photo. "pella" and "onk" Oh, and, despite the guy's shirt, I don't think it is Ivory Coast!
I'm in Burkina Fiso and the town is kiha up near the Mali boarder. The people are grate but it is so hot.
Here are some photo's of my staff, what a grate bunch to work with if I could id get them jobs in Aust. They put the offsides we have ar the moment to shame.
Which one are you?
I love the T-shirt "official suntan lotion applicator". I need one for this summer!
Well, thats a good question. I was ment to be back at the end of the month but, after chasing up New clients I might have to fly to South Africa, so your guess is as good as mine.
Dave how is the fin going, you must be flying now.
I'm hopping for breese on the 2nd.Well im coming home, the other jobs are not starting for a month. Look forward to catching up and having a sail with you all really soon.
