Thanks Scot, looking forward to having a sail in the bay, been over 12 years since I had a sail there. Media arranged with local radio/newspaper/Internet and flyers in the Urangan high school so hopefully we will get a good turn out.
All the best for the weekend Kellie, looks like you have everything under control. Cant make this event but looking forward to the rest of the season.
A big thanks to Kellie and Peter for putting on the free lessons in the bay this weekend. Lots of positive feedback and great for the sport. Hope to have a sail with you next weekend!
Just want to say a big thank you to the Hervey Bay windsurfing crew for making our first social get together up there a great success. I was kept very busy both days teaching loads of kids and adults how to windsurf so didn't get the chance to say hi to everyone. It was a great turn out. Full report and photos will be on the website really soon.
Kellie
Thats great Kell, looks like it will be a good season for the Windwanderers, and to see potential sailors having a go is just what the sport needs
Full report is on the WindWanderers website now.
I can't praise Kellie enough for her efforts over the weekend. She spent two days standing in the water, didn't get on a board once, as she worked with the many beginners who came to give it a go. She's a model of patience, and for some strange reason, she actually seems to enjoy it too!

Also shout out to Peter DL and Peter N, Justin R, Darryl and everyone else who came along and enjoyed themselves. We had a ball. Still recovering, mind you!
Cheers,
Dylan.
That's a fantastic result Kellie and crew, great to see new people having a shot, especially the young ones.
