How's the wind looking up there? So far I will be there and looking forward to catching up with a few people
Hi Deejay, lots of wind at Caloundra today could have been on a smaller sail than 5.7 at times. A few of my team makes we're at the lake today and posted some good times. see link, but I think it took a while for the wind to fill in. Should be good moderate wind for the weekend.
See you up there
Cheers

yeah seabreeze has never been so good wit hthe seabreeze predictions ironically.
once you see those upside down v shapes with high inland temps you are pretty much going to get something.
usually anyways.
Lets hope it keeps up for Sunday. I just got back from Imbil, had a few good gusts of wind but nothing major though. Looking forward to getting out on the Lake again
Looks like I can make it Sunday. Kids staying home to do swimming carnival. I've got a leave pass
Looking to see if all the TOW I've had over the past month will show some results now that I've had a few days to rest the bruised and battered body.
Will be bringing the Kona
Cheers Jeff
My only complaint is I''m worn out I & ever one else just sailed till they dropped the lake is unreal the fan switches on at 11 each day & you say o no not again I think the wife's & kid had just as much fun as the weather was very hot but down at the lake it was just fantastic sitting in the cool wind off the water.
Just a gr8 place to be in a heatwave with a heap of gr8 mates.
I will not be sailing for at least a day I just have to recover a bit.
Well done to the windwanderers club thanks for all your hard work to make it happen.
Detailed results for the 1Hr event on Saturday 12th January 2013 are at docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JfVGCZuunneTF3w98-UsE5QLTHrqFXf3k7WHI_NH7X4/edit
Top five speeds were:
Michel Van Der Pligt26.594
Phillip Nott 26.242
Rob Humphris 25.061
Glynn Merritt 24.828
Jeff Kim 22.329
16 sailors signed in. There were three who did not give me their card at the end of the day, but they all assured me their speeds were not worth recording. You can look them up at GPSTC ;)
Full report will be posted at windwanderers.org.au tomorrow with photos (yes, Ray, probably even with photos of you!)
Cheers,
Dylan.
Looks like you all had a great weekend. Congratulations to the Windwanderers crew on another successful event.
Thanks Kellie for putting that pic up, not lol, I hit the pole on the right there with the very end of the boom as I was heading out on that run, seriously have to work on learning to steer the board properly.
Haven't had internet for a while so a bit late but here is a small write up about Saturday's 1 hr challenge. http://www.windwanderers.org.au/Events/LakeCootharabaSeries/January2013.aspx
Below are the Nautical mile results from Sunday (results taken off GPS Team Challenge) so let me know if you were out there and I have missed you. Was just a bit of fun to see what nautical mile speeds were achievable on the lake. Interesting as there were some very close speeds. Not much in it between 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th places
