had a nice sail at train today - but was wiped out by kitesurfer who was 20 ft upwind & ahead did a huge leap int he air & swept sidewayson direct collision course - i was flat out & honking in flat conditions - my usual vigorous anglosaxon spray of abuse seemed to have no effect & it turned out he was french - people are always shouting waving thier arms & calling each other names in france - so no joy there - he was to big & 25yrs younger than me so I couldnt thump him - quips about the war are a bit dated - does anyone know a really really nasty insult that might offend a kitesurfer?? - is there some new term or expression in common parlance that can be wheeled out?

Put your hands up those who haven't had a near collision with a tea bagger. A nearly identical situation happened to me a couple of months ago at Queens beach at the Pritchard clinic After the second incident straight after the kamakarzi jump; I knew it was on purpose

As a teabagger myself I can asure you that most have a healthy respect for windsurfers. Many years ago the local kiters decided to leave the sand bank to the poleys but these guys dont seem to know or care (they are not local kiters).
I was also out windsurfing at the train and agree they were out of control.
Just do as Linda does, aim at them and abuse them - they'll soon get the message
ps. the guy is from Israel not France and is built like a brick sh1thouse so I dont blame you Hitch -lol

Yer we was discussing this on the beach around the deck chairs kiters are back they left for a couple of years i notice they had a sun shade on the sand bar so maybe its yet another school. Send Bernard over with a couple of croissants that should make the peace and they can have a little par ley vu france, Lynda isnt to be messed with she will have a pop at anyone fishermen, jet skis, kyaks, jet boats, paraglyders, even seen her shacking her fists at the helicopter!

Some Maui type rules would not go astray really.

Had a similar incident years back with a French dude who basically closed me out against the sandbank, basically the decision he left me was to ditch, hit bottom or try my luck going outside him and run the risk of hitting his lines. We exchanged some choice words and then ten minutes later a young kiter got separated from his board and I went and picked it up for him. It turned out it was the French guys son. Just shows how important it is to look after each other on the water and sail with consideration for each other.

What are the Maui rules Kenny?

An English version of a French version of French invective. Sorry, no English version of a French version of English insults but I'm sure you could use this and with the help of Babelfish memorise a striking stream of invective that would make a French kiter stop for a moment at least.

There's only 2 things I don't tolerate on the water. The first is intolerance to other watercraft and the second is kitesurfers! (yes, modified old joke)

Saw today what could have quite easily have been a faitality involving
a kitesurfer landing on top of a windsurfer. Looked to me like the kiter
landed on the guys head but he escaped with a buised arm. Only a limited
area on the B/water, just a matter of time b4 someone get seriously injured.
What do you do besides obviously telling them all to F...off?

on saturday I went up to centenary park - north of the marina - sailed off ephram island - just two windsurfers out, lots of wind and lots of very fast water!! - that solves that problem!

I will just sail where linda sails - that seems safest

intefada - evilpanda!! realy pissed the israelis off in Gaza - wish I had known that - I am sure i could have cobbled together some sort of burning insult.
