would have loved to have even seen it but I got stuck on the mountain. Had to come home via Beenleigh. Big carnage up on the top! Way too many trees blown over. The ridge along the top of the mountain felt like it was averaging 60 knots most of the day.

Was there much debris in the water?

Here you go, gentle 40knots breeze already at 8am.
i wonder what the day will bring.
may go around midday to the train or behind wavebreake island somewhere.
Opposite of australia fair is no way to the water since all fenced off.

And maybe add 5 if it is from the NE?

The Train doesn't work in a Southerly.

Nonetheless you should be planing on a 90liter wave board and a 5m with an indicated 15 knots at the seaway.

... jokes aside, how do you do it Hairycut? Just how many virgins did you sacrifice?

i followed your link and stumbled across the bad lieutenant port of call movie coming out.

big fan of this genre........ bad lieutenant 1 with harvey keitel was a cracker.

p.s. have you seen the whackness! gold movie.

p.s. i don't sail the train in a southerly. VP only.

I've never sailed VP in a Southerly. Actually I've never sailed VP at all!

Looking forward to Wave Break when wind and tide are right.
Might go Oatlands Esp next SE'r for a change of scenery.

And one day, one day, when I'm bold, stupid and good enough that bank about 1km out of South Stradbroke. I have seen guys paddle surfing it years ago, to my disbelief. PS. check the crew at Sth. Straddie on Googley Maps

we went to burrows st yesterday, and it was surprisingly very good. i think that will become the new spot to substitute for the train on very southerly days when tides wrong at shearwater. the tide runs same way as SW but less strength

was good at grand today too

soooo much wind lately hope it continues throughout winter

I remember everyone used to go there. Except me. Why did I discover this sport so late?

It is always windier there. Wind seems to get funneled down the channel, which is very narrow at low tide, perhaps too narrow.

Also works in a SE. You can get all the way across to that sand island/lagoon, which is tres bon at high tide. Wind comes straight through the seaway. Crystal clear water may freak you out if you are from Brisbane.

Did I mention high tide? > 1m
(less with freestyle fin, which I will start using soon )
