Great, Justin is getting excited, so I should cancel my plans of being of the water all weekend.

There should be a 2 day rule.

I'm gonna try that downwinder from Train -> Shearwater, stopping a while at The Grand, including lunch. Tides are good.

Nah i reckon i'm seeing things.

Speaking of which tried for decent Nm today sailed down to Albert wallowing around at mouth of Lota Creek... got myself in a pickle when fin and swirl where i was about to gybe but couldn't sail any further at risk over breaking my neck at 30knots on a mudbank. I decided twas a friendly dolphin and thank f*** I didn't drop that gybe .

All this with Vando testing his fin and finbox hitting something yesterday and albert hitting something in the other channel today

Have we scared the kiters off yet [}:)]

It's looking like a 3ft swell could be on so I will be in the surf on Saturday.

The next event is pencilled in for the weekend of the 10th Jan, not sure if I will make it along to that one though as it is getting very close to the due date of bub arriving. So may be leaving that one in the capable hands of others...oh and Jesse.

Back in the 80's when sailboarding enjoyed a high profile there was a famous race from the beaches of Hervey Bay to Pelican bank and back.

A few of the old timers talk of the good old days when they would sail over in a group and play there all day before sailing home.
