The new JP Slalom IX looks great in my opinion and yes i will probably get alot of flack, just for saying that. Anyway some slight changes for the IX vs the VI. Hopefully the new IX lives up to how good the VI is. If i can push my VI to 41knots, many times. For now, some pictures below and it will be interesting to compare the two boards. Both are 56cm wide, 81 liters. Will give some feedback once we finally get some wind. By the way the new ones dads

All you need now is some wind. looks very nice enjoy the ride!

I like the tail cutouts I think that will take the peak speeds up a bit.

Cheers Russ

Besides the cut outs they look very similar to each other. I saw one on Sunday and they are good looking boards.

Was/were there ever JP 7's and 8's? they seem to have gone straight from a VI to a IX....?

From the photo the rails of the ix from the mast track back seem a lot straighter and parallel than its predecessor.

I just think it's great that JP are teaching youngsters roman numerals.
Wonder what "slalom board" was in Latin? - any guesses?

ta Rick. I wasn't trying to be facetious either, it was an honest question. I had just never noticed the VII's or VIII's before.

Dad still can't really report on the board just yet, as conditions have been less than idel for a review on it. Anyway signs of it showing to have a great top end and being able to be quite quick, out of the turns. Optimum fins seem to be around a 34cm, now to test a 36cm.
