I've been trying to find some plastic or rubber fin washers for my fin screws for ages, Bunnings and a couple of other hardware stores didn't sell them.
Tonight I managed to find some at my local bottle shop!
I will need to do some thorough testing but so far they look pretty good, the only down side is the cost. At $5.50 a washer they're pretty expensive, but I guess you have to pay for quality.
Just have to warn you that removing them from their packaging has some side effects and not recommended for children under 18!
I'll provide a full report after thorough testing.

I'd expect extensive research.
Tap washers work pretty well
Yep these are def the go
The rubber(nylon) ones not the fibre ones.
Just peel them off the stem of the jumper
Valve and then jam the washer on the bolt,
The fit should be tight on a 6mm bolt thus reducing the
Chance of them falling off and disappearing.
Tap washers are available as individual items in different colours at plumbing shops. I use different colours for different bolt lengths. Some of the fin boxes are just a little too different. I top them off with a stainless steel washer.
The bottle method looks more fun but
Way more fun!
But I'm a bit slow, have six now and need another six!
Glad I dont need to do all my fins, I'd need to have a party.
Use a holesaw and cut out washers from
those old scuba fins in the shed , good for
at least twenty .l,
I bought roofing washers from Bunnings. They are perfect; thick, soft and you can stack them up if your bolts are too long.
I use the bottom section of car tyre valves.
If you visit your local tyre store the will be glad to give them away as they change the valve with every tyre change and just break the bottom section off to get them out
