the lower part of the sail looks like its still under construction what are they thinking? c'mon just keep it simple, the 2010's and before looked great.

i must admit, that we need sails that can be seen on the water. clear monofilm does nothing to promote the sport.

Love the look or hate it, so far they are proving very fast in the big sizes at least around a course and that can't be too bad.

Sam.

Jury is out on how pretty they are, but performance won't be an issue.
I have been lucky enough to have some pre-production Formula sails here in Australia and they actually look better up front and personal.

That danger tape looks very 80's. Will you be wearing some flouro gear and some big sunnies to suit Brett

Ric's ex sail with James - now chasing your tail Tim so watch out - last weekend when I was battling with a 6 y.o sail, James was flying around on his new 12m

Yes, they are both 12's. Amazing how different they look huh. The North looks more like a 11m, but it is not. From memory Rick was 1st to the top mark in this race?

Actually I think that was Uncle Bruce in that photo? Luff length on the TR6 12 is 583 - what is it for the North?

I think you will find that James is alot closer to the camera.
Giving the illusion of the Maui Sail looking bigger. North Warp 12m luff 565.

See, now the North Sails 11m looks bigger than the Maui Sails 11m and NP 12m and 10.7m.

Thanks for the lesson on perspective Ric

Nevertheless the North appears to have a lower aspect / greater chord length than the Maui (and others).

The looked slippery - pity I dont own one

Not sure if you are in NSW but if you are you can see them in person down at Rasmgate Beach, Botany Bay, Sydney on Sunday (7Nov10) or at Heat3 of the NSW Windsurfing Series next weekend (13-14Nov10) at Lake Macquarie.
www.storm-riders.com.au for details.
