Day 11 in Maui, thought we shoud have a rest day, so off to Ocean World and a tour west.
Conditions have been great, with most of our crew sailing 3.7 - 4.5 all week. I have been on 5.3 and 4.7 for most of the time, but have struggled with a different board (might change this tomorrow)
Kym has sailed Ho'okipa with Bert and Jimbob a few times, was only small but was still a challenge for them. Berts windsurfing has gone to a 'whole new level' and he is now talking of competing on the world tour. Jamie has introduced himself to everyone in Maui.

There has been a swell from the south, with Dumps and La perouse a solid 6-8 foot, get on face book and check out Jimmie Hepps photography of the last few days if you are keen.

Theres also some of his Ho'okipa stuff on his page as well.

All of my photos are up on Facebook if you are keen to check em out.

See you in a few weeks,

Is this why you have been SUPing? What's happening over there?

From Maui surf report
Kind of strange wind conditions for Maui in July lately with lighter and more northerly winds than we typically see this time of year.

Zubby I just got back but my 20 days where......

3.7 3 days
4.2 7 days
4.7 6 days
5.2 1 day

had 2 days of and went to volcanos on the big island but was still windy I was just burn't out after 11 days straight sailing.
didn;t sail first afternoon as spent most of it looking for my lost bag.....don't ask

Dave and Bert only supped early in the morning.

some afternoons got really gusty after 3pm and one arvo dark clouds came and the wind went ballistic to over 40 was stuck upwind on a beach at camp one with Kym and some other aussies as too wild to sail downwind to Kanaha.

Saw that Cane burn yesterday, what a mess! Paia was hard to navigate, what with all the yoga Pilates followers and then smoke!
Pete, we busy Saturday night and all Sunday, but keen to catch up with you and Zerk before we head back on Tuesday,
