Yeh mate

I've got a whole qiver of blades now 3.7-5.3m, we just need some wind to really test them. I've now also got the problem of getting them off Vikki now as she's hooked after the long weekend at Beachport. There is something about getting 2km glassy flat runs on Lake Goerge to really get ya keen.

And only 5 weeks and three exams till we head west for a month!!! Yeh, not only for the windsurfing but to getting all the bloody exams out the way.

Hows yank land treating ya?

yeh rush, rode the new JP Quad 82L at seacliff in a gusty 20-30knots.

felt weird to start but got used to it and found it easier to handle then my old 70L.
Had a ball, if people are uming and aring, have a go on some at the onboard demo day at boggy coming soon.

They're diferent but will change your sailing.

Sounds good Marty - has Ty got his 92 Quad and Fletch how does the 99 single thruster look?

US has been good - I am over Hollywood - off to New york for 9 days tomorrow morning - had a ball in California - great place to visit and with the Aussie dollar soooo good its pretty blood y cheap.

a few observations - beaches are ordinary (except monterey / seaside where there was a good little wave in the bay - with an Otter relaxing in the surf)- Aussie beaches rule - No Pale ale - sick of Budweiser - - no vegemite and the coffe is crap - Santa Monica surf was like a 2 foot shore break at Moana - very ordinary - waters cold - beers cheap 17.99 for 30 cans

everything else has been f*****g awesome.

Catch you in a fortnight for a sail - I am so hanging out for a Sail and SUP - been looking for a Methane paddle at US prices but no ones had one yet!!!!

CAtch ya

Beeen searching - tried a few local brews from San Diego - they were good - will try 8 mile creek next week for a pale ale

You getting a new Quad or thruster this year- I reckon you deserve one - shore Heidi won't mind - you know ya won't to

Hi Jimbob

We had Vikki out at Bower road on the weekend where she was flying once again. She's finally hooked, the weekend down at Lake George was a blast for her, I can see some more trips down your way happening over summer, i'll let you know when we're coming so we can all catch up again.

You guys will have a great time in Gero. First trip I have missed in years, a little pissed.

Below is a report from Tim.

OCT.- is shaping up as one of the best starts to the season in Geraldton in a long while. Back to back high pressure systems in the first week generated good wind, with the second system also delivering pumping swell. Sunset was all time with minimal crowds and happy faces all round.

After the Boardseeker Mag review rating of the new JP single thrusters a 99l might be my next choice Vicki - or a nude thruster

If I got on an 80 l board after a month of eating food in the USA it wouldn't move

Everything is double serve, deep fried and medium is our large.

Must say I just had tea at the 8 mile creek restaurant in New York (couple of fellas from Whyalla I think aussie theme but not OI OI OI - best feed in 5 weeks - aussie rack of lamb was fckn awesome) - first Pale ale (x6) in 5 weeks - my god that beer is the best beer in the world. Riding the subway at night after several beers is a different experience though.

The kids ordered sausage rolls, meat pies and pavlovas - its weird what you miss when your away - unfortunately Vegemite on toast wasn't on the menu.

Haven't had a bad pizza since I've been in the US - they make them on hot rock and have the best base pastry - Most aus pizzas are sh!te compared to these

When I was in Manhattan, I had a great pizza from some tiny shop serving from a hole in a wall - cost $1.

But in 10 days in the US I never had a decent cup of coffee. You hanging out for a decent coffee Russell?
