I hope to be comming down will there be a Go there?

Also the 15th is my 17th so I think the best way to spend it is out on the water all day .

Cheers Pittsy

Yep. I'm definately in :). Never been to Milang though.

Is it accessable with a normal car ?

Is swagging it swagging out with the stars ? ;)

Is it possible to tent it ? (or is it too open ?)

Cheers Ja

Hi Jay,
Bitumen road almost to the waters edge.
Caravan Park on the waters edge.
Pub just a short stagger across the road.
Just don't sail too close to the reed island, theres been a few engine blocks found just under the water. Not a nice thing to hit while you're sailing!
Oh, and if you swallow the water in the lake you'll come out looking like that fish on the Simpsons... the one with three eyes!
It's an awesome spot for anyone, particularly for someone who's at your level. It's perfect for building skills.
Have fun!

Hi Guys. The guys at the Milang caravan park (Jill and Joe) are offering 10% off for all sailboarders and kitesurfers who are keen to stay with us on saturday night. Just mention that you are part of the group and let them know what you need (powered / unpowered site, caravan or cabin). Fingers crossed that we get some wind, we've got a pile of gear for all to try... JP, Fanatic, Thommen, Neilpryde, and North windsurf gear, Cabrinha, North, Slingshot and Naish Kite gear and Naish SUP boards. Redbull will be down there as will the BBQ and a few Coopers for the afternoons. We'll also make the most of the Milang Pub on saturday night, the counter meals are excellent! Looking forward to seeing you all there. Cheers Pete

I'll definately see you all down there. I'll post the announcement
on the public forum at work. That should shake a few trees ;)

Thanks Muzza. Yeah, has anybody taken out their fin on a
submerged object before ?. What usually happens ?. I'm spending
more time on the board than off it now days, so the only thing I'll be
drinking is beer

Milang is nearly here, all the red bull you can drink, flat water and wind, then a great dinner at the pub, a night under the stars, and all again on sunday.

Cant wait.

I can only come Sat (double booked sun -- bollocks). Looking at bom, sat looks
like the slightly better day. I'll make a day of it and get there early and go home
at night. I'm really looking forward to this. I wasn't able to get out last weekend.

Ha ha yeah awesome day... Great to try out all the gear also. Yeah he didn't even get one lap done lol, the easyride probably wasn't the most ideal race board either, he was pretty hammered. He said it seemed like a good idea at the time lol.

Anyway thanks again Pete, Brett and all the crew, a great day.

Yeah, I had a great day too. I came down Saturday and hit the water at
9. I was completely stuffed by 5. I left the pub at 10:30pm and didn't get
home till 12:30am.

It probably wasn't strong winds by most peoples standards, but the winds
at 1pm were the strongest winds I have ever sailed in. A few times, my
board went planing down wind like an uncontrollable missile -- I still have
much to learn. Today, I figured out now to go up wind (that's what I spent
most of my time trying to do) and standing on the side of the board (not the
middle anymore). Still not in straps yet, but baby little steps.

Pittsy, you were sailing next to me I think ?. You looked like you were doing
really well :)

My arms are kaning.

Cheers

well if they hold it at the same time next year I might be able to experience ancient art of hide the sausage as shown by the native wildlife and also seen on David Attenbrough latest documentary.
