Just getting a thread going so Steve, Chris, Kym (if she ever signs up for Seabreeze) an I can talk about our trip.

Also, I plan on taking my laptop so we can upload video and photos of the trip, either on Youtube or my blog.

I will be waiting back here in the cold winter with a hint of jealousy for each new exciting update.
Hope you all have a safe trip.

There's no wind on Maui this time of year!

Yeah right... hope you've got a small sail. Come to think of it, I know where you can get some small sails

Get Severne Dave, they make nice small sails.

Has there been wind in Maui over the last month? I was in Maui for two weeks in 2006 and I only sailed twice because there was no wind! or maybe I was lucky........ it was my honymoon.

Have fun guys.

we will be hiring form one of the big shops, as we did last time, so only Naish, NP and Ezzy sails, boards will be JP, Starboard and Naish - although they usually have a few ring ins form other manufacturers.....Severne sounds good though.

I was hoping to get a super freak when I am there, was wondering what size to get? With out lack of wind might be an idea to go larger, 6.5 - 7.0

Hi Divaldo,
Yeah I know your hiring your kit... your travel buddy came in to the shop the other day and was telling me about the trip.
Hiring your gear over their is a great way to do it... free exchanges whenever you want. It doesn't get much better than that.
Have fun.

Trevor is having a holiday as well, first week will be at home with old man, maybe a few trips out to some gardening jobs, in that back of the ute, then second week, possibly third down to Victor Harbour to stay at Kyms parents farm, chasing kangaroos, digging up foxes holes and general farm stuff....its ahard life for Trevor, he will cope though.....

Was gonna call Robbie to see if Trev could set up with his labradors, but they were busy....

Chris, I will look into laptop, should be able to use the plugs we bought form last time?

....and Phoebe is coming as well, she is enrolled in windsurfing camp at Kanaha, three days of hanging out with 6-12 year olds playing in the water, learning to sail...I think we are more excited than her about this though!

the charger will deal with 110 or 240 input voltages...computers are flexible like that. So just take an adaptor to fit US mains and you will be sweet.
BTW Dave you can also hire Hot Sails just down the road from Kanaha Beach but i would go Naish by preference.
looking forward to the video/photos to keep the rest of us amused.

I'm so jealous. There's no snow here only manmade stuff. And I'm working very hard. But I am doing some photography work for the local guy, hoorah!!! On my one day off. But seeing there is no snow, who cares? But there is a weather warning/alert tonight! I wish I was off to Maui.........................
But if it does snow, if I was a snow kiter, I would come here. Big long flat valley. Maybe I should learn to kite and also snow board. hmmmm.
If I don't get back on here soon have a great trip you guys.
By the way Divaldo I did stand in front of the webcam, kangaroo ridge (charlotte pass) but it was stuck so you wouldn't have seen me but I will try again for 3pm nsw time next monday.
