Chris, imagine how you are going to feel this time next week????????

Fancy a drinking game on the plane? Arlo?

Also, if you are 18 (not like me) are you allowed to drink on the plane on the way to the USA?

I had two weeks of calm weather when I was there, I think it was to time of year I was there, it was the shoulder season. The good thing about the shoulder season is the swell is bigger.

Have fun.

At least you got a taste of some wind, swell and chop on Sunday Chris - you'll be primed for some same tack blasting - pity you had to disappear the wind stayed in all day and got stronger around 1230 - Anton was left out there by himself

Hey Darren - check the weekend - mid coast sat (small swell) and wnw Middleton sunday (2-4ft by swellnet) and Monday - even snapper will be sailable if your not into drining to victor ($1.75 litre for fuel) cause theres some good tides mid morning - it won't be Maui but we'll be getting plenty of sailin.

Hello
It looks very good for wind, why would you want to go to Maui.....ha ha. I am out for Saturday, but Sunday I will be on the water until I drop. Not sure where I will sail yet, I am very keen for wave, so Middleton could be to go.

I had a good sail Monday morning at Seacliff on a 4·2m. We are well into a winter weather pattern now.

First update:

Just arrived in Maui, pretty long day, everyone a bit shagged.

Stop over in Sydney was a killer, 5 hours in Sydney int airport is way over rated, Jetstar was OK, bit slow on the food, screaming kids should be banned on flights!

Honolulu check in and customs was a breeze, no issues there.

Arlo has not slept for two days and is still wearing jeans!

We picked up our hire gear and our cars, all sweet ready to hit the sea tomorrow, looking like Kihei is going to be the best option tomorrow as the wind is quite northerly, not the clasic ESE tades as yet. Although sitting here sipping a Corona and feeling the breeze in my hair......ooops sorry, didnt want to make you all feel bad.

Pics up tomorrow peeps! Miss you all! How did the slalom comp go?

Dean at Kihei

Chris' hands....poor technique!

A fun day, not a lot of wind, Kihei about 12-15 knots all day, 15 out and a few tea bags, heaps of euro crew and some aussies. Highlight of the day, soccer at Pio's with Keith Taboul, Francisco Porcella and some dude called Marco, lots of italian inslults flying around, my fave was 'Mongoloido!' result of 3 a side with Captain Arlo, Keith and Marco 3 - vs Divaldo, Chris and Francisco 5! Beers and laughs all round!

Tomorrow looking light again :( Hope you are all getting heaps of waves and wind!

PS: No ****, we met JP in the carpark at safeway, talked to him for 5-6 minutes, all of us in total awe, Chris told him his life story in 3 minutes, JP consumate professional, said he would see us out in the water! Legend! I passed him a shopping basket and called him Jase! We are now best friends!

Fark this place is great!

Well day 7, finally decent winds have kicked in, been a bit slow for a few days. Everyone absolutely exhausted after todays effort at Kanaha.
About 80 sailors in the water today, 20-30 knots, true ESE trades, I was on a 5.6 and a 93 ltr FS Wave, not a bad combo, but been stuffing around with gear so much, time to settle on a board.

Phoebe enjoying Summer Windsurfing camp.......pulled her first dusck gybe today (one more than me)

Divaldo, couple from the Swan River Mob are over there playing. Slowboat just left today, but Chris Adamson AUS1111 is still there suffering so much cos he misses the river and Hardies run at 5 degrees. [}:)]

Sound like you are stuggling as well in the sun and water.
