Saturdays looking a bit dodgey at Day street now by the Marine map.
SE waters still calling wnw till late morn
Anyone keen if HI reading nw for an early one?
Monday could be good
Hi Scotty I will be around Beachport in the mornings if windy as on arvo shift all weekend, BIG swell coming sat night into sunday morning. i will most likely sail on monday morning, my boys are heading to bells for this swell.
might need to be early in the morning just to get a car park, sounds like lots of people heading down for a sail. hopefully the swell kicks a bit, its almost perfectly flat now
sorry guys already gone west 20-25knots gusty, lookin like it will be sw by mornin but swell should be big
Port lincoln Airport W 270 degrees 20 knots @ 5pm
Wind is starting to build from the west here at Goolwa. Will be heading to Day Street in the next hour... can't wait!!
Richard - I'm heading down to Aldinga sometime over the weekend to pick up some furniture. I'm thinking of continuing on to Goolwa for a sail. Where the heck is Day St Goolwa. Is likely to be ok this afternoon or just the morning. How's it looking down there for Monday thommo
Thommo - Day Street is at Middleton. From Victor take the Goolwa road through Pt. Elliot and Middleton and Day Street is on the RHS as you are heading out of Middleton towards Goolwa. P.S. The wind is yet to kick in but all signs indicate it's gonna be good!
An okay session. Sailing on a end on shore wind is a first for me . Morning session tack below (Semaphore South to Largs Bay). I ran out of wind coming back
OES XR115 board + Mailsails 6.8m Global sail.

Sounds like southern beaches were the go.
Fun in westerlies at Day street from 8ish a bit of air and lip smacking was the order ofthe day (if you were lucky enough to get one with a lip)
sounds like the crew had a few good ones at snaps in the arvo.
Roll on Monday - maybe more day street with a building swell in the arvo
Its so good to see so many sails on the water
Jay, you are correct, you can call it a top turn, and off the top, or as russell is calling it, when you hit the lip hard, a lip smack. It has lots of names, but the main thing is that its a lot of fun
I'm hoping to get a 2nd hand 85L JP FSW by the end of the year. I'll then give it a crack
Me and Bigkym are looking at sailing south tomorrow. Can you guys recommend anywhere that's intermediate friendly ?
day st's about as small as it gets tomorrow, might still be a bit too challenging without a waveboard though. not much wind on the inside so struggle to get through the waves without the right techniqe. should be fairly easy tomorrow though because its meant to be windy and small swell. if you managed robe at easter you'll be fine tomorrow
Hey Ja,
pm or catch up with Divaldo as he told me he is going to part with his 2007 92 JP freestyle wave before he goes to maui in july, would be a sweet board for you and its a good price as well. sailed this board last october and if I had the spare cash I would take it myself.
I ended up being a complete North Haven whore and going to North Haven. A good session was had . Weell, somebody has to keep the kite surfers in check !
Thanks for the tip, Jimbob :)
Good sesh on Saturday Snappa Nappa, would rather not talk about Day St yesterday, fickle is a word that comes to mind,
Some good SUP though!
Saturday at Wreck beach with gusty 17 to 22 knots WSW, no sailing yesterday

Looks like the west coast had similar conditions to Day street - maybe it was a little bigger there - looks the goods though.
Monday was a weird sailing day at the mid - weedy up and down gusty and very ordinary waves. Sounds like a few got a wave or two at Day street - never really kicked in like the report said it would though.
Tried to remove one fin from my twinnie on fin rock at U-turns - If I had a single fin I would of missed it!!! Wondered why it wouldn't plane or turn on a wave after I hit the rock - it was dangling forward out the back of the fin box holding only holding on by the round brass tab!
Could have been an expensive sail.
Fingers crossed for next weekend
