One more week until the west coast wave classic, the 7 day forecast is smiling at us at the moment with windy conditions Fri and Sat with a bit of swell, will probably be windy sun too but swell is dropping off. For anyone interested there will be a debriefing from travel at the Marina hotel around 8-9pm Fri nite for a catch up. Sailing on (Fri-if u over early) Sat will be at Walkers Rocks Elliston and after this will be notified by text each day. Walkers is around 8-10kms north of Elliston on the highway to Streaky Bay, turn left at the signpost/red mailbox and travel into dayparking(2wd cars) and walk over the dunes and then walk down the beach to your right, or alternatively continue on the road to camping and beach access and go down the beach about 1km. Anyone with cars we can ferry people and their gear down the beach to the site. Will have a BBQ available for cooking.
Just checking if McLovin and McFlyin are coming as i have everyone else's number, please text me on 0428843630. For those who want to we can travel in convoy from North Shields Sat morning.

Look forward to seeing everyone their guys and T-shirts are available at $30 each I will talk or text everyone on Sat morning so keep your phones charged and close, if not see you on the beach

Maybe 1-2pm Fri, Russ might be going straight thru for a sail at Walkers on Fri too, Probably aim for around midday on Sat so we can have lunch on the beach and setup a few shades etc.

Looks like a nice pulse of W/SW swell coming through on Friday with a back-up pulse on Saturday. Wind will be blowing fresh SE. Sun will be out, water will be warm. Perfect...

On Friday ---------It will be mild about southern coasts,
grading to very hot in the pastoral districts. Light to moderate southeast to
northeast winds, turning moderate to fresh southerly with the trough.

On Saturday the trough will weaken further and remain over the pastoral
districts as the high moves slowly east to the south of the Bight. It will be
fine throughout with light to moderate southeast to southwest winds, fresh about
the southern and western coasts.
It will be mild about the coasts and hot to very hot inland.

Looking like we could get some action fri sat poss sun and monday

Sweeeeet.

Basically for around Elliston way - the hotter it is inland, the stronger the afternoon sea breeze.

those in-water shots are sensational. lots of photos of sailing are too removed from the action but they are right there with the sailor. how'd ya do it? looking at the wide-angle distortion, was it a go-pro?

Trousers -

Water shots taken with a Canon 1DMkIIN, Canon 15mm f/2.8 fisheye - all housed in an Aquatech water housing

Shots from the boat were taken with the same camera and Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens.

The guys made the most of the conditions out there.
