Hi All
First post from me. New to windsurfing and met Steve at Greens Beach last week whilst being thrown about by the wind. He suggested I head over to Bell Buoy Beach at the weekend to see how it should be done so I took his advice (thanks Steve!) and am now fully inspired. Took some photos from the rocks whilst I was watching. Live in Vic but get down to Tassie a fair bit so look forward to seeing you around.
Hayto - meant to say 'HI', but you snuck off, I was one of the sailers at Bellbuoy. Welcome to Tasmania, and welcome to windsurfing - as it happens, the two go hand in hand - the windy state.
We appreciate you posting photographs as it is just about impossible to bring yourself to get off the water to get some shots when the wind is blowing. I am sure that Jason, Hamish and Greenie all appreciate your shooting and posting the record of events just as much as I do. Perhaps we can catch up next time you are around.
Geoff
Great Job Chris I have waiting for you to post! Keep an eye on this forum so that we can catch up again soon. Maybe at Lagoon
Cheers
Steve
Great shots Hayto, welcome to windsurfing, welcome to Tassie, sorry you have to mix with that bunch of larrikins up north, pity your not darn ere with us southern sofisticats
Thanks for the comments guys - would be great to catch up when I'm next over - Lagoon sounds good Steve. In the meantime I'm off to see what Port Philip bay has to offer.
Cheers
Chris
All the best! Don't forget our Learner's Day at Lagoon on Feb 1. Great chance to meet some crazy people and have a family day with everyone welcome but particularly kids. Windsurfing Tas has some awesome teachers (Johnny has talked himself up after some success with my family) and you mentioned that your daughter had made a start, was doing well and very keen. Nice to get a welcome from the President as well!!! Just thought I would remind you that the Ashes was 5/0
Cheers
Steve
Thanks Hayto.
Always great to have the memories not just in my head. Was a great session followed by another crazy session on Sunday back at greens. Great to meet you. See you next time on the water.
Hamish
This is a great photo. Not sure who it is but looking at the crazy hand reaching way back for that Duck Gybe I am going to guess that it's ET
