Well done today everyone top of the World
Izaak i should have taken you with me it ended up a great place for a SW I drove the van down on the beach, how we missed this track b4 I dont know.
I messed up by taking the 400 mast instead of the 430 and only had the 5.8 and the 7 some how left the 430 mast home so I couldnt rig it right, the mast extension was about 50 mm short so Im fairly happy to get reasonable pace with a bag of a sail
Thx Guys was really happy with the sail today, best i've had.
SUPER effort today by the 5am's, that's awesome stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s Glad you got hold of Ant's GPS to post that session for him! Imagine losing that
great johno, fantastic to find a track in on to the beach.next big blow it should be good then.so what was the water like dead flat?? and was the wind consistent enough to stay on they plane the whole NM?
The water was dead flat up against the sand and out in the middle it was a bit like in the chop out in the middle at Sandy P.
I started sailing about 1.5 hrs after low tide (Stanley)and sailed for 1.5 hrs b4 the sand started to cover.
Next big blow from the SW and you can easily plane for the full NM
