AND I'M HEADING FOR THE WAVES............yeah and I know I'll be on my own
SANDPITS!!
Not so sure Ant. I may be down on Wednesday or Thursday to pick up a new board. Will keep you posted.
Hello Jezza, It's a mistral 82 litre surf board. I've been trying to pick it up for about 2 weeks now but it's not much use coming down until there is some good wind about. Let's face it I can't ride it in under about 20 knots anyway. I needed a board for the higher winds. I found my 90 litre board was just out of control in anything around that 30 knot range.
Iceman Thursday sounds like the day.
I will work on getting it off. Dorans road looks like the go. For a first time on a new board, up to you.
Cheers Russ
Russ, you should save taking time off for when theres an epic day at one of the hot spots in tassie not just crappy Dorans!
I Only get home late Saturday.
Is there anything on Sunday?
I suspect not but I want to hear the spin doctors tale. :)
Woe woe woe. Today, Wednesday looks good but the bloke I'm buying the board off reckons he has to work (have you ever heard such a feeble excuse?). Tomorrow looks a bit tame so I'm going to wait until the weekend. Not sure which day yet I'll leave that up to the guru. Yes!!! the "Rock Magnet" will be in town. Hope to catch up with all.
Ever going to get back out on the flat water Jason??, we have found some really good spots.
Maybe i'll turn up at random and surprise you in the near future....
Kaleb and I had good session at Goats but in spite of him pulling off a good forward he still complained he didn't feel 100% and got a bit cold....he'll be in bed tomorrow.
I went for a spectacular back loop and managed to get about a foot out of the water and land on my arse....but I did try.
Got really smashed on a big closeout....I always manage to find those and ended up with a broken mast and ripped sail....but rerigged and went back out
Had some photos but can't upload, is it me or a problem with seabreeze
Jason if you're coming down and want to find some waves give me a ring 0417 577884
Swell might be getting too big, when it does it closes out but I'll be keen to give Sandpits another go
Good to hear that you guys had a good sail at goats Sorry to hear about the broken gear
Wild weather at Dorans this arvo, very gusty with massive chop, good fun heaps of people out!
Just had a look at Droughty Hill, recorded a gust of over 60kts late this arvo
