Come along to the Learn to Windsurf/Fun Day, Lagoon Bay, Low Head on the 17th and 18th November

If you are keen to give windsurfing a crack or have a friend that's keen, come along and meet some of the local sailors who will be there to help you get started on the windsurfers provided.
All you need to bring along is a wetsuit, wetsuit boots and a life jacket

Ben Wilson/Paul Tenteye/Al Cook are organising this event and will be stoked with anyone that can help on the day.

We will have the BBQ running with a few snags and soft drinks.

This day is all about fun and that's what's windsurfing is all about.

If you want any more information or can help on the day please contact Ben at Ph 0400638795 or email: bearhooverpup@bigpond.com

Keep watching this post for more information

There seems to be a bit of interest in the weekend so hopefully we get some nice conditions.

Here is some photos of some youngsters ripping up Lagoon last Saturday and one of me sailing Bell Buoy earlier in the day.

Fair bit of interest in this one which is great. If your available to help teach or even run the BBQ we would really appreciate all the help we can get!

People are encouraged to bring some meat and drinks for "tea on the Tamar" Saturday night. I'm
Sure there will be plenty of exaggerated stories told..

Tell your mates, tell your neighbors....tell the kite surfers....Tell everyone!!

Cheers
Ben

Ben, we have offered the services of one of Soouthern Tasssies best instructors. She's not bad at tossing a snag as well
Have a good weekend and hope you guys get a few more people into the sport.

Wind didn't really play ball but alot of people came down and either helped out, watched or had a go. For those new to the sport it was ideal. At one stage there was 11 rigs on the water. Anyway some great weather, to those that maybe about or interested. Its on again tomorrow, so bring along some friends, family and let everyone know. Was great to get a couple of mates keen on their gear they have brought and are now eager to get out with james, Jordan and i.

Yea was a great weekend - I'm still heaps tired!

I reckon we've got half a dozen hooked on windsurfing after our weekend. A super amount of effort went into this weekend, and as an official non-member of WT, I'd like to thank Paul, Ben and Al for all their efforts (and Team Perks!).

A great community to be a part of, and these guys showed the utmost dedication to promoting the sport and having fun - it was a pleasure to be part of it all.

Had a great weekend and a good turnout of new sailors on both days. The wind was a bit light on Sat. but good to get a few started and Sunday was a little better wind wise to start with but then died off when the rain came.
The BBQ and Marquee worked well and the Windsurfing Tas. learner gear was on the water all the time so getting plenty of use. We had interest from about 6 people to take up the offer of the use of the gear in the near future.
A big thank you to Ben, Johnny, Al, Hamish, team Perks and everyone else who helped and participated in the event. Also a big thank you to Rod for coming all the way from St.Helens...great job on the BBQ. Looking forward to the next one in January...
Paul
