Surprised they didn't turn up over the weekend. Cape grim was up to 70knots and a solid 50 most of the day!!

Hey Guys - no they didn't think it would develop. But Tappo got some god shots. The next storm being tracked is for the 17th - 18th time period. Will see. I was asked to be the Location Manager for RBSC TAsmania. So I will be coming down back to Tas prior to the Storm. I reckon I will stay for a while - not sure wait and see how addictive the place is again.

Tappo got some damn good shots of the day and the next day.

PS - anyone know who hires walkie Talkies down there. I have to get 20 so far only found a place that can hire 6 in Tasmania?

We should do a nomadic hey while we are at it hey?

Contrary to popular belief I am still alive and ready for a big year on the water.
Pottssy if you're coming down to Marrawah on 17th let me know I will come up
Do you still need walkie talkies? I could make some enquiries

Excellent - seems like there is enough wind down there. If you or anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. I need to get hold of 20 Walkie Talkies to rent for 6 days (basically a week). 2 x 1kw generators to be used with computer equipment. There is a generator by Honda called EU 10 which is ideal. If anyone knows someone with a jet ski - let me know. I had one lined up but it has been lost.

There was a red bull jet ski stored down here somewhere, may have been took back to the mainland.

Adam at Shipsterns surf in Sorell has a ski that he uses when the pros come down to surf Shippies ( allready tied up with Redbull)
Maybe worth asking him. I can swing it by him and let you know what he says.

Realistically how accurate can they get a forecast for the 17th?? they can't seem to get it right a week in advance normally..

I know how pissed I am when I drive an hour down the coast and get stooged - let alone flying from Germany!

I would be pretty keen to come down and watch if it's on for sure..

Hey Fos - thanks mate - I sourced 2 generators this morning - but if they fall through could we use yours as a backup?

Thanks mate.

Phil - I don't know - its the weather. But when you get a low pressure system line ike what we have it will probably produce something massive in the next 2 - 3 weeks. The oracle - Tappo is on it - 30 years of looking at Roaring Forties weather systems - its not exact science but he predicted that weekend just past 10 days out.

I recon Joels got it worked out. Wait till Phils going on holiday somewhere then change your profile name to Phil and start bagging out the locals, this ends in Phil getting bashed and Joel winning the best mate of the year award. Sounds like he learnt some of Hanson 'The Instigators' tricks.

If you see a TV interview for Win tonight in Tasmania by a person about RED BULL. It was a friend I was asking about finding a jet ski and some other things - I am at fault for saying a bit much about the organisation of the event as he helped me with things in the past. While I am now on Red Bull's payroll I have the responsibility to say that this was not authorised by Red Bull nor does he have any representation through Red Bull.

Don't worry guys the person isn't a windsurfer so you probably don't know him - he is also a friend of mine who has helped me in the past and I think just got a bit carried away - It happens.

It made the front page (with photo) of the Advocate today, a good shot of someone (D62 on sail) heading into a mountain of whitewater, plus a story on page 5.

Yeah - thanks Easty - hopefully its all good. As long as its kept subjective and not misrepresentation for Red Bull then no harm done.
