Been some good seabreezes coming right up the Tamar this month, Some of the best sailing conditions I have seen at Rosevears.
Video taken 22/2/2012 sailing with Paul and Geoff.

From the still, it looks like you might need a new wetsuit :-)

Its wierd... even though they were all songs offered to me by youtube I went through 3 before no companies dropped the bottom lip at me! Stupid song but better than listening to me mutter on and on
Oh and when you fall in as much as I do you need holes in the wetty to let the water out....

Yeah it was much better with the original track...... was a great session... hassle free planning but not over powered at all...

Lay down Jybe you reckon..... well if thats where im at I better go to marrawah and do a foward loop tomorrow!

Got out again today at Rosevears..... some very flat water about. Got sail pumping sorted... its unreal what you can keep planning in if you can get the board out of the water... think I pulled a gut mussel pumping though!

Hey guys,
Where do you walk down to the water from? Is it just passed the bushes south of the Tamar House jetty?
And do you wear booties/watershoes? Cos there's oysters around there isn't there?

Also, how do you find the river current/tides - do you take them into account at all, or if the wind is blowing just deal with it?
How do you guys hook up/arrange it, or do you just go together etc?
Thanks.
Johnny

Hi Johnny,
Rosevears works on a NW or NNW directioin. Enter the water via the gravel car park north of the pine tree.
Booties are an absolute must with the oysters. Not much fun entering the water but once your in it can be rewarding sailing close to town.
The current is quite strong , with the tide coming in it takes more wind to get going than when the tide is going out taking you into the wind. The tide can also make it hard to get back to the car in non planning conditions!
On very low tides there is a shell sand bar in the middle that will catch a big fin.
No plan really happens for Rosevears because sea breezes are un predictable, if its windy and the right direction we go.

Welcome back to the sport... look foward to seeing you
