OK! SUNDAY IS A GO!
LOCATION: CREMORNE LAGOON
BRIEFING AND SIGN ON: 10AM
If the forecast turns to rubbish and the low sits over the state killing the wind then a call will be made Saturday to cancel, however, at this stage its a go for Sunday!
Will, if you would like to take responsibility for the race and be the organiser then I'm happy for you to run it on the river.
Run it on the river! At least then we will have more than 10 metres between the marks
Leg distances in the lagoon are around 550-600m. PWA events range from 300-500m. So I'm sure there is ample room to hold a race.
We cannot hold an event in the river as we do not have an appropriate event craft to satisfy Risk Management and Insurance requirements.
Please remember to drive in slow and stay on the track as we want to respect all the good work Ant has been doing at the place.
Cheers Russ
Sounds good ,can you let as know early Saturday if things change, as we will travel down saturday morning. thanks buzz
Yeah looks like Saturday is honking SSW. But Mortimer is stuffed now. I'm sure the officials will run it in the best conditions and the best venue
Racing is still a GO for Sunday in the Lagoon. Forecast is for a bit of South to SE wind.
Sign on will go from 9.30 to 10am. Briefing will be run at 10am.
PLEASE NOTE IF YOU MISS BRIEFING AT 10am THERE WILL BE NO LATE ENTRY - 10AM IS THE CUT OFF NO EXCEPTION

Ditto, always great to catch up with everyone and the crew from up north.
Awesome event, and conditions! Great fun. Thanks for organising kaleb and to Russ and easty helping out! I
Yeah, awesome to watch. Highlights were a clinical display from Kaleb, plenty of carnage on the gybes, some out of control gybes pulled off, and Izaak and James always seemed to hit the second gybe neck and neck.
Was pretty hard at times to ID sailors finishing, thanks to Russ, Jodi, Shorty and others all helping out. Dave has the video to confirm placings, hopefully it worked. Might need to check race 4 for James' finish.

How did you go today Ant?
Well done to everyone who competed/ helped in the slalom today
Well done to Easty Jodi and Shorty I think we did a top job fantastic team and we kept them moving in what was the best six races to watch and judge that I have ever seen and real pleasure seeing everyone rip it up.
Buzzy what a fantastic effort first for all the planning, many would not know just how much effort Kaleb has put into making the last two southern tassie events soooo sucessful even went out and cleared the under water branches out there yesterday.
Buzzy your results were nothing short of PWA level six wins against high quality field of seekers
Very nice to see everyone and well done to all you looked fantastic in some very windy testing choppy conditions.
MY knee should be close to 100% I'm going in the next round so I can get floged as well
Stay Happy Everyone
I've managed to get the end of Race 1 and then all of the other races on video, but it's a bit too far away to make much out. Here is the end of Race 4. I can't really see who's who, but would take a guess that it's as follows:
1st Kaleb
2nd James (white helmet)
3rd Izaak
4th Me
5th Jordan (white helmet)
Yes very hard to tell, but looked as you mentioned Dave? Looks similar to what was written on sheet?
That video is worse than what was captured by the GoPro, so hard to make anything out - sorry! My computer has just about died trying to edit the GoPro footage. Am trying to edit Race 5 in a higher definition, but is taking a while!!

Yep, I think it is as was written and no reason really to suspect it would be anything else.
