Just a reminder that this weekend we have the final round of the state titles (Slalom Racing) at Stanley.

Forecast is not looking too bad. Wind should be 15-20 knot SW'ly on Saturday afternoon and 10-15 knot SW'ly on Sunday afternoon, possibly freshening (some forecasts show it as windier than Saturday)!!

High tides for the weekend are mid-afternoon (2:15 and 3:17pm) so we could be racing in an off-shore wind within the Eastern Inlet, which could make for nice flat conditions.

Briefing will be at 12 noon on Saturday at the car park next to the Caravan Park.

That's fine, we'll do a briefing and see what the winds doing. If there's not enough wind, we'll put the briefing back an hour. If there is wind, unlikely we'll be underway with any racing until 1pm at the earliest anyway and we can accommodate late entries (ie signing on) right up until the first race (or later races, but you'll just miss the earlier ones, obviously)!!

Fantastic race but the organisers stuffed up so I was the only sailor that finished. I distinctly remember Jonno telling me after a few quiet ales Sat night that the race went from Stanley to Port Latta

I was out in front all the way and was welcomed on the finish line at Port Latta by some Qld tourists. We popped a bottle of Tassie shiraz and had another quiet little drink while we waited for the rest of the fleet......and we waited....and waited....gawd nose where they went.

Hitched a ride back to Stanley only to find they were all too gutto to follow me......Johnno changed the rules half way thru the race so wouldn't give me 1st prize so we just had to have another quiet little drink....or two.....and more

Great weekend. One problem was we saw Houston take off and head round the corner and went missing. He then somehow turned back up in the carpark with no gear, several hours later...

Houston is always at me to buy a GPS. Now I know why. It's to know where to send the rescue boat.

Ha.. That is hilarious. Reminds me of the time I was driving to Mayfield Beach with a mate of mine from Far North QLD. He mentioned to me at Dunnally that he felt we were heading in the wrong direction.

Don't know what all the fuss is about Iceman, not only did the very nice Qld tourist give me a couple of glasses of red she took me into the bedroom....I think she was also lost....and a bit nuts
