Forecast is 25-37ENE on wind-guru and marine forecast around the same with buoy saying 23-33 last time i looked.Low tide is a eight o'clock in the morning.I have the day off so i will be keen..........Jordan keen for a road trip to Stanley i will give ya petrol money and get on the road at 5am.As mentioned in the last Stanley forum it may be quite flat on high tide up behind the sand dune.
Pretty windy at Wynyard at the moment, I'll set the alarm for early tomorrow and if it's still windy will aim to be at Stanley at 7.00. mmm, I can taste the pies already
Hey Easty I have shuffled my work around so I can sneak down for a sail.
Not sure about getting out at dead low tide (8.00)may not be enough water for about an hour after low, anyway I'll be there about eight. Forecast is looking good 23-35kts Izaak and Jordan are out in the waves at home at the moment so I'll find what there up to later.
Hey Johnno, low tide is listed as 1.03m at 8.00. Is that low low or a highish low, I see the next low at 9.15 pm is 0.41m. I've got no idea what that means up there, but presume there should be a bit of water around?
Isn't shuffling work around great, I moved all commitments until after lunch, everyone should be able to do it
Edit: I hope the people I'm contracting to don't read this
Easty all I can remember is having to stop for an hour or so once for some more water to come in. Like you said though its not a very low low tide so could be fine.
Watch the rocks along the western bank all the rest is sand with the occasional log. I'll see if I can get out of bed a bit earlier it takes me about 1 hr to get there.
yep were both going, aiming to be there around 7:30ish. Now dad is coming and forecast is looking really really good.
