Nice to be back in Tas and had a great sail at Stanley!

gpsteamchallenge.com.au/sailor_session/show?date=2012-02-05&team=27

The wind swung very quick when we were there too. Got a few runs on Starboard tack using the channels with the wind coming from where the cars were parked.

Went for an early one at Dorans but it swung around too much to the North only leaving a short (~200m) section on the car side with sufficient wind to plane... then dropped out altogether. Should probably have gone to Mortimers but was worried about the track after the rain...

No wind on the horizon either just as I'm getting completely addicted to this sport!

Even after heavey rains it's OK for 2 wheel drives, I've never got stuck there, need to keep at least one wheel out of the rut, be brave and gas it.

Yeah, I should stop being such a wuss! :-)

Although any money that goes into car repairs leaves less money to spend on windsurfing gear in the future!

The track can get a bit slippery, just walk your gear that 100 meters if you are worried. A lot of locals park at the entrance to the track for walking dogs etc.

By the way, i treat my car with absolute respect and would not put it through anything that i would not do myself[}:)][}:)]

Marion bay to get to the beach is a 200m walk through thick salt bushes and ferocious natives. ( usually to find no wind!!!)

Are you ok Damo
The Japanese consider 9 to be unlucky because it sounds similar to the Japanese word for "pain" or "distress"
