Goats Sunday afternoon. Depending on the wind, all in fun sailing Expression session till 5.30 then 4 man final. Hopefully the wind will be in by 3-4pm.
There will be a briefing at 3pm. I'll try and post about 1pm detailing conditions.

Yeah I'll be there, remember to enter you HAVE to be a member of Windsurfing Tas Inc so I'll bring down membership forms if you bring along your $50 (covers 12 months)
I'll also have the camera so let's hope it turns on, could be a bit of fun

Very small swell at Goats today, about waist high with the occasional shoulder set and the banks are good with no closeouts so very safe for all. The wind is ENE at Dunally so thats a good sign for this afternoon.
There is no cost to enter the wave comp this afternoon but you will need to be a member of windsurfing tas. Anthony will have membership forms available at the beach, please bring your $50 to become a member and support Windsurfing in our lovely state.
The membership 'one off' payment will get you entry into all WT events throughout the year.

This event is for all to come and enjoy sailing at one of the nicest beaches in the Hobart area, not to mention the only place to get East winds.
Everyone at the beach will be able to contribute to the judging wether you are entered or not.

Did it happen?
If it did I'm keen to see some pics, c'mon the Duke of Hazardous Bottom turns.
I would have been there, but I'm about 4000km away. Mmm, tropical waters, 15-20 knot winds, no gear!!!

Well Goats finally turned it on for a spectacular first wave event for the year.
Warm, sunny, beautiful up to shoulder high waves even if the wind was a bit on the light side.

Everyone had a brilliant sail, great to see Fos get his first down the line ride with a nice little smack and Jez get his first wave ride ever.........you've got the monkey off your back mate .

Competitors: Kazza, Jez, Fos, Rob, Vietzy, Damo, Fluro, Jordon, Brett, Kaleb.
Nathan turned up for a social sail, Andy, Loz & Artis turned up for support, Jodie and I got behind the camera's

The offical results:

Womens Open:
First place: Karen Robertson (even though Kazza was the only female in the event she came in 5th overall)

Open Mens:
First place: Kaleb Smith (sponsored by Ezzy)
Second: Anthony Vietz (sponsored by AV Glass and Glazing)
Third: Tim Hale (Fluro)
Fourth: Damien Wallace

Junior:
First place: Jordon Bradford (also came in 6th overall, not bad for a punk rock 15 year old)

Finished off a fantastic day with a quiet little drink in the car park .

I've got heaps of pics so will try and get a few up over the next couple of days.

Here's a taste of pics to come
