I was sitting having a quiet one by the fire at the Snake River Clubhouse when a couple of my mates turned up!!!
after cooking a bit of tucker, we got stuck into the grog and things got out of hand. After a couple more drinks we went for a sail, the boys really loved the snake river course, especially impressed with my style. We 'bummed' into a couple of kiters, i blew them out of the water with the old canon, the boys loved it. Mrs spanker cooked us up some road kill that we finished off with some of her special sheeps nut pie.
After speaking to Houston, its been decided to move the end of year bbq to the srsc. dont forget to bring the ladies, im pretty irresistable.
oh yeah, had to take ... to hospital to get the auger from his...
The snake river crew seem to have a casual attitude to the native wildlife or is that an introduced species ( maybe snake rivers equivalent of the cane toad). Regardless, it seems to be providing support for the kitchen bench and also a tasty snack. Does Bob know about this?
Thanks Spanker for a such a fun day, it was great to meet you, bloody hard to work out who you were and where you'd set up the club, brilliant setup.
We worked it out after Buzzy posted the google map of Snake River, thanks Buz.
Bloody hard to find though and for anyone interested in meeting the legend at srsc drive 35km past Maydena, just as you go over Lightening ridge you'll get a good view of Mt Ann, hang a left up the track, takes another 25 mins to get to the club house and a fantastic view of the river.
great setup for seed sailing as the river is 2m wide for 600 m till it hits the lake. Hopefully next time we get more wind and post a 40 knotter.
Thank Mrs Spanker for the sheeps nut pie I've still got the taste in my mouth
Spanker you've taken it too far this time, told you not to put that photo in, if bob finds out we cooked up a rare albino wombat and sailed in the world heritage area we'll all be in dep s..t,
Thanks boys 4 the visit , but i regret to inform you that the sheepnut pie was actually teabagger marinated nuts pie, seems like mrs spanker hit the chinzano a little bit 2 early 2day, an easy mistake still good 2 meet u guys.
God you guys are full of .... There's no MrSpanker, the bridles in the photo gave it away and Morgan dressed up in ski goggles......must be Houstons barn!!!
No Kazza I am sure its real, thats just a Morgan look a like.
I drove out to Lightning Ridge yesterday and thought I found it. But the road was too wet to drive right in there. I know a baby wombat in a fry pan when I see one.
A rare image of the N S R club house where there is an important breeding program to preserve the albino wombat (barbarically, the southerners still hunt this creature on horse back). Bill Clinton is a major patron of the breeding program (his practical experience is legendary!) and is also a fan of the asymmetrical Bic wave boards (he loves the French style and ride).
Al is that Monica Lewinski coming out of the caravan, hope Bill didn't give the albino wombat the same treatment, Bob wouldn't be too pleased.
Kazza and the rest of you interlectually challenged folk, if you had any brains you would realise MrSpanker was taking the photos, we just went for a drink and try out the river
No Kazza, you are still incorrect in your assumptions. I doubt that Damo would ever be caught in that british crap, Jaguar. He's into the more sporty Alfa Romeo class of transport.
sailing! or windsites and cameras working. What's happened to Clifton cam as well. Don't these people care about our need to know exactly what's going on where with wind.....
Kazza, Spanker is not me, Damo or Morgan, all will be revealed at the srsc bbq on the 18th, if he doesn't turn up I'll kick his ar.e, noticed he's gone quiet, must still have a hangover
