I think it is quite funny myself
Gives me the image of THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO!!
Worthy of a green thumb from me
It would seem that previous awards have been won purely from the confluence of fortuitous conditions.
America Cup shows how it should be done, unlimited resources and passionate devotion to the goal.
It would be appropriate that foiling Wallies (keeping that very original design completely clear of the water) should dominate.
Imagine the following scenario:
Boat speed 23 knots from 6 knot wind combined with a broad reach at 120 degrees from an 8 knot tidal flow, temperature 10 degrees.
Anybody doing better?
This may be the last year of the easy pickings....
Original 1983 longboard foiling- anybody could sail it, nobody could steer it!
Even this one would have a hope?
