Couple of pics from Sandy Point yesterday. Was super windy at the front beach in the morning with most guys on 4.2-3.7. Kinda annoyed that we didn't get to the Gap earlier, waves were much cleaner and looked fun. Wind dropped out pretty soon after I got there before swinging westerly and going Red Bull Storm chase with sideways rain 40+knots after everyone had left. There were some other cameras around so more photos might turn up.

Good shots guys. It was good fun holding on like a rodeo. Agree next time it is NW and blowing 4.0 weather The Gap would have been a good option for the cleaner waves.

You guys are braver than us - no-one here had the gear for the consistent 35kts with 50kt bullets plus the 10m swell! We just sat back & enjoyed nature's wild beauty.

Bridgy would be pretty good on a NW wouldn't it?
Damn I didn't even think about that, could have been worth the roadtrip!
Next time..

My hands are covered in blood blisters from Sandy Pt yesterday.. I wish I had of rigged my 4.2 instead of trying to hang onto my 4.7!

Did you get a picture of me?

You'd have to see past the sailing with arms a metre apart, failing to get through the launch at waratah for at least half an hour, the sailing five metres in front of every damn wave because I couldn't handle the wind in the face, the jumps that I let go on and the waterstarts where the board blew away before I could put my foot on it.... to the one decent bottom turn that I managed...

At least I'm on a steep learning curve...

Bridgy was going off - big waves & nuts wind...but with my smallest sail being a suss 5.5, I was out.
