Hi All
I'm looking to get a custom board made, not sure why other than i know i don't want a JP and just fancy something a bit saucy.
Any thoughts on Quatro and getting a nice paint job?
Size will be around the 105L mark
Cheers
i got a stone board made for abliterating waves its 107L and new school thruster, WICKED fun and for 1900 bucks, not bad
James from Nude Boards isn't that flash with computers. Try calling him on his mobile 0413274479 or emailing james hooper <nudesailboards@aapt.net.au>
I have own JP and Starboard boards but my most recent production boards have been an 85,95 and 115 freestyle wave from RRD. To be honest the first board James made for me was spot on! It is always a bit risky getting a custom board made but he has really nailed it with my boards. The only down side is he isn't quick, but you can't rush a craftsman :-)
This is starting to look really great, i like the idea of a quad set up although i'm not sure how it will feel and perform against what i'm used to ie a single fin.
This might sound a little strange but i miss boards like the spunik 265 which felt like rocket ships even when you were not going that fast when you were motoring they were as scary as hell.
It all feels a little safe these days.
Hey Scott,
Take a look at MooCustom....
I've been sailing with em for the last few years and owner Jon Kennett is the man to go to if you need a BIG multifin board.
His shapes are great and at a very resonable price to. Based in the UK, abd shipping is not a problem with him as he's got plenty of customers in japan, US an all over europe.
Check out www.moocustom.com and see what you think??

I have just ordered an Angulo from Mark in Maui.
His response so far has been great, always answers emails and has some great ideas.
I cant wait for it to arrive, paint jobs look great too,,,,,
I think i will try a production quatro first the get the feel of what they are up to. i do a small problem in finding a dealer.
any dealers out there?
I have used the quattro boards but they never suited my style of sailing, felt the KT models were too slow, as they had soo much rocker although turned very snappy and the LS models were too stiff and didnt feel right.
Having a custom is a very special thing if you want something a bit different thats designed just for you. At the moment too a custom is cheaper than most production boards as our dollar is so good against the US dollar.
Will be posting some pictures when my board arrives for sure....
This is my board so far....
Mark had re-inforced the strap and mast foot areas and will be vacuum bagging next.
The board has yet to have a full dyvinasal wrap and be vacuum bagged and have carbon under the straps etc. The picture is just the basic blank etc.
This is the next stage when everything is glassed and vacuum bagged and boxes are fitted etc, just needs paint now.
