Saturday is looking excellent at the moment for a strong South East and a fun sized swell. Right now we are considering running a pretty low key round of the VWS series at either Gunnamatta or Woolamai where there are some nice banks at the moment.

There were some awesome conditions down there last week and Friday/Saturday are looking like more of the same!

Hopefully the forecast holds strong and we can get an event in the bag!

About time we had some wave sailing conditions on a weekend..

Probably the best seabreeze season on memory, but probably the worst wavesailing summer in years??

Hey guys
we have decided the conditions look like it should be a fun day down the coast so we will hold a small 'gathering' at Gunnamatta on Sat

The wind should be cross shore 20-25 knots and around head - logo high waves should make for some great wave riding and jumping.

We understand there has been very little wave sailing conditions lately and no one is too keen to spend time sitting on the beach when it's windy.. so depending on how many people enter we will run some style of expression session, with room to run some man on man final heats

Hopefully we can get Jodie from Whitecaps to come down and get some images

There will be plenty of time for free sailing afterwards, as is usually the case with easterlies it will continue to get windier until dark!

Briefing will be held at the Gunnamatta surf beach second carpark at 1:30pm Sat

***Please note Gunnamatta is a dangerous beach break that destroys masts and swimmers. This is an advanced wavesailing location only. If you are not yet confident in sailing through white water, deep water starting or long swims for gear then this is not the place for you!

Big thanks to Al, Joel and Duncan for arranging the day. Great to see so many people out sailing at Gunna. Shame I Had to be home by 5pm as I didn't have time to re rigged and get back out after my great mast breaking skills (or was it Zac's?)
Hope the wind and swell got better!
