I'm a bit of a skin flint....i dont like dropping a bundle of dosh just to enjoy the outdoors. If you have to pay out too much cash for accomodation just to get a couple of days windsurfing down the coast might persuade you not to come back. The town hall at Yanakie is a great example...if Peter is there he will slug you for 8 bucks a night. If not...its a freebie. Oh yeah and there is Bear Gully near Walkerville...no rangers...no fees...Great. Have you got some secret spots? Are there other sites on the East or West Coast?
If you dont want to tell the world all good. You can always send private message either way its OK.

Isn't the money used that they collect used to maintain the park and services? I pay more on a few hours parking at St Kilda than that, so I dont think 8 Bucks is that bad at all.

I am a cheap ass and I bargain for just bout anything but I dont think that these places are getting ****eloads of money from the government so I dont feel too bad about forking out in those cases.

On the other hand charges for beachside Parking in Bayside and Port Phillip - One word - Theivery!
