Sailed with the crew from Warnabool over the weekend , they struck it good with 3 days of 18 to 23 sea breezes, was great to catch up.
heres my tracks guys from the weekend, friday and sunday on the lake and sat at surfbeach for a quick 2 hours as had a wedding.
Hope you guys got some good photos to put up here as well, would be good to see how flat it was out the spit running a 5.8.
Friday arvo, I broke a boom a few k's upwind so thats the funny looking track through the middle, had to keep swapping sides over.
late in avo with the crew on the spit doing speed runs
Sat at surfbeach
Sunday back out the Lake
was a good weekend ended up doing 220k's for the 3 days.
exept for the broken boom and KA mast that just exploded while the rig was just sitting there not being used.
see you guys next year Jimbob.
G'day Jimbob,
We had an awesome time down your way. That is an awesome spot you've got there. A few of the blokes are keen photographers so I'll see if I can grab some video of your speed runs and get them to you.
I was wondering whether to bother packing any sail gear at all with the forecast but for once the forecast was better than expected.
We suffered some casualities ourselves. One FUBARed boom and one smashed board nose.
Already looking forward to next year, I'll need that long to recover.

G'day Jimbob,
Great time at the spit with winds better than forecast. A couple of learners with us have been reinvigorated as the flat water aided gybe practice.Maybe another quick visit before Christmas.
Guys another session before christmas would be great as i go back to work tommorrow and will have my shift 10 days off before the christmas shut so will be there staying at the caravan, will be a crew from adalaide down over that time as well, just get a cabin in the sother ocean park thats where I have a permanent van.
this weekend is looking to be even better than the last, on days but finish at 3pm so get there for the best wind.
Jimbob.
