Hi
i'm living in clifton springs, and trying to get my head around where to go windsurfing,

I've tried the bay in a north westerly but it's to rough.

Is there anywhere on the peninsula that gets good flat water conditions?

I went to the lake but there was 10 metres of stinky sludge before the water. Is sludge toxic? and is it better at high tide?

What winds are good for pt henry?

Is the barwon river near the ocean grove golf course ever any good?

Any other suggestions would be great.

I also live in the springs and have 2 main sailing spots. Pt Henry is good for NW through to Southerlies although I prefer Lake Conewarre for SE through to SW. If its a light Northerly, Pt Richards is a bit of fun.

Ignore the 'sludge' at the Lake. Its just the weed rotting thats washed up on the shore.

Thanks for that.

Where is Pt richards?

I just moved back here after been in WA for a while and the lake looks heaps different.

IS it ever any good around st leonards or indented heads, or is ther to much chop on the bay? I had a look down at the dell near the golf club today and it was pretty rough...

Pt Richards is on the way out to Portarlington.

I have never sailed the dell as there is no rigging area close to a carpark. I have sailed out at St Leonards but it can get very lumpy. A few of us were out sailing Pt Henry today and will be there tomorrow morning from 9am onwards if the wind is up. We dont sail right at the Pt, rather we sail off the western side (see pic).

I've always known that carpark you've marked as the southern carpark so keep that in mind if you are talking about that carpark marked.

Out there on Friday I think I landed on a Banjo shark or stingray. The bottom definately got up and left when my bumb hit it testing out a second hand shortboard.
