Good morning competitors and welcome to day 1 of competition! Sign-on is going on right now in front of the Woolgoolga Beach Surf Lifesaving Club and will close at 11:30am. Skippers meeting will be at the CARPARK at the end of Hearnes Lake Road on the grass beside the lake. See you there!
Tomorrow's briefing will be at 7:00am on the north side of Flat Top Island for the possible first heats being run from 7:30am. Please be aware of the issues with parking when sailing on the northern side. Drop your gear off then leave space for others to do the same. Attached is a map showing the road to the northern side. See you bright and early! Will and Chris
Morning competitors! Today's forecast isn't looking too promising but there could possibly be a light SSE wind so we won't write off today's competition just yet. The next update on potential heats will be at 10am.
Competition has been postponed for today. Tomorrow is looking great so we will meet for the morning skipper's meeting at 8:30am at the same spot as yesterday (see attached map). Have a good day! See you tomorrow bright and early!
Hope you all had a great day of relaxation! A reminder to be at the same spot as yesterday for a briefing at 8:30am sharp! First up depending on conditions will be Open Pros. Heat 1 pros competitors are Adrian Gacon vs. Matt Ruthren and Shane Finigan vs. Chris Powell. Juniors heats will be run between the pros so be ready also. See you tomorrow morning!
Cheers
Will

Pics or it didn't happen.
On a more serious note, thanks for the updates - it's good to know what is going on.
Fingers crossed for you on Thursday.
I'm pretty certain that these are the results from only round 1 which would stand if there is no more wind this week. The results may change after another round and it's then that we'll no doubt find out more RE 5-30 and which states people are from.
Hey guys,
They were results from the single elimination so aren't the final results just yet. If we don't get any more wind then those results will stand but we're hoping for a full double elimination on Thursday. When final results are in we'll post all details on the winners (sponsors, states etc.)
Thanks, Chris

Thanks, Chris
Hi competitors, the wind is looking variable but is picking up a bit at the moment. We're going to hold off and make the call at 1:30pm on today's competition.
Hey guys, we're not going to compete today. The wind is looking light and onshore. Tomorrow is still looking good. Meet at the end of Hearnes Lake Road for a briefing at 10:30am with the aim to start the first heats at 11am. Get pumped for a full double elimination! See you there
Morning everyone, and welcome to the last day of official competition. Yesterday was disappointing with the NE seabreeze not eventuating enough to start the double elimination. We did manage to run an expression session though and congratulations to the following winners!
1st Duncan Osborne
2nd Aaron Constable
3rd Nick Walker
Today's forecast is looking promising and it's already warm so we're hoping for that seabreeze again. Meet at 11:00am at the end of Hearnes Lake Road for the skipper's meeting.
See you there!

Hey everybody! Thank you again for your involvement in this years Nationals - it was a great week and I look forward to having the opportunity of getting another one together in the future. It was a big learning experience for me, and has given me lots to improve on for the next time, as well as great memories. Just a quick update on the event wrap up. The guys at AIRSICKNESS are in the process of sorting the footage and cutting together something beautiful, so stay tuned for this coming very soon. Jodi Stevenson Photography has posted a whole bunch of event pics at her site www.whitecapsphotography.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=14065944. An event wrap up article is in the final stages and will be up on Seabreeze very shortly - hopefully it is an entertaining read.
Anyway, thanks again to all involved - especially Severne, Hot Sails Maui, Starboard, Airsickness and QLD Freewave Association for all their support. Also thanks to Ryan Kelly for his amazing Jetski driving skills, to Chris Powell for his assistance in the organisation of the event, Dean Hendrie for his amazing effort as Head Judge under sometime difficult circumstances, Tim Williams for his council approval efforts, Christine Ballinger for her master cookery, David Johnston for the amazing Trophies and of course; last but in NO WAY least - ALL OF YOU for pitching in and helping out when needed to make things run smoothly. Thank you all again and stay tuned for the event wrap up and video.
Cheers
Will Johnston
