Was pretty good at Lano in the arvo too. Lots of swell, but lots of washing machine moguls too: you had to pick the good ones. Interestingly the wind wasn't that strong. Very gusty, and a 5.3 on 92l board was only just enough...

Cheers, Jens

Yeah was at lano too - wind was weird. Windy but lots of holes. I had to switch from my 4.5 to my 5.0, nasty wind shadow out the back. Main break had a lot of shape for a change.

Certainly was weird wind. Rotto and Ocean reef were blowing gales when I left Perth at 2:30, and the Lano lagoon looked pretty windy too. Luckily I stopped to listen to everyone complaining about the holiness. Was going to go 5.0 and 84l, ended up 5.3/92l-which was barely enough...

Largeish incoming tides all day with swell = less wind through the break up this way
A few crew that sailed coros in the arvo said the same for a period in the late arvo (got a bit gusty),but hey when your on a 4.2 4.7 5.0 and small boards, there is way less margin when it backs of a bit or the winds swing offshore
