Its a volatile dynamic system and will change from forecast to forecast

Agreed Hards

This morning SB showed the screaming northerly for Fri arvo

Now it has westerly Fri arvo and southerly on Sat.

Other ones have conventional easterly on Wed - Thurs and then seabreezes for weekend as trough moves inland (bit more believable)

I think the computer generated forecasts have chucked a wobbly and I won't believe anything until the day before

id like to see a forecast of winds from 2 directions at once from a computer forecast one day, or vertical wpuld be interesting.

After Mark and Hardies comments I have been checking the updated model every 12 hours or so, and every 12 hours see a considerable shift in forecast! I will post the wind guru screenshot for this Saturday just to see how far out the model ultimately is.

Is having a 7 day forecast a pointless exercise, how many days out can these models accurately predict and does it depend seasonal synoptic situation??
