I'm stuck working in the country with long hours and no windsurfing gear.

Meanwhile all you people in perth, lano, gero etc...

For me agony is booking a trip months in advance, hyping it up in my head, taking an unpaid day's leave so that I can get there on time, only to see this:

Guess when the trip is again?

Nebs make sure you take some snorkelling and fishing gear!

And don't worry the Abrolhos is an awesome spot with or without wind. One year I went was totally troughed out, and it was still fun. The water was glassy and the visibility for snorkelling/diving was amazing.

The glass is always half full out there bro'.

and also it blows out there a lot when there is none on the coast... it is another world.
chance of 15kn and glassy waves. Grovel onto the monster and then it is like a greased quarter pipe

Nice video Elmo. My watch is down there too after a surfing lesson with the legend. Perhaps they can keep each other company

G'day Greeny
It's a Gopro hero std def, it's attached to my helmet with the elastic straps which I've gaffa taped on and also tied on with some old kite lines (you can find some lying around on any beach).

The only problem wit the GP on waves is the fisheye lens which doesn't give a good perspective of depth hence my nice shoulder to head high's look quite small.

One thing which I found tonight when buggerizing around converting to FLV format I changed the aspect ratio from std to 16:9, this seemed to negate a bit of the fisheye effect and put a bit of depth back into the film, will check it on other vids to see if it's consistant

Lol, and when I get home from work, both the swell and the wind drop off (according to 7 day forecast). How dodgy.

great vid elmo,

i couldn't help thinking with the amount of crew wearing cameras on their heads, visitors to oz must think windsurfers are a strange bunch.

p.s. gotta love the fireballs. i can pick that bass line anywhere. last i heard they had reformed.

Only problem I have found with this, is the kiters dont like you cutting their lines while the kite is laying on the beach .... go figure
