I saw the swell was up at Metts in the morning(8/3/12), just wondered how was it locally? Many out at Scarbs this afternoon?
It was pretty big. Timing was essential when heading out. There were a few surfers in the water which added to the challenge especially with the afternoon glare.
What time did you head up Mike? I was up at a break south of Cervantes, Fully lit on 4.7m.
How big was wedge?
Sorry Bertie [}:)] was just curious
Filth did you go to H Bay? We stopped at Lano, looked messy lumpy, got to Wedge at 3pm I'd say over head with some 3/4 bombs coming through. Cross off. Bit of weed.
Hey Caipi bet you thought I was on Mr Mum duty
Grrrrr Just spoke to Green Eggs
Hmm Good question, Good company in the car, only 3 out = no crowd factor, stronger wind, cross off, no kooks, no surfers, no rocks, easy parking.
As Gazza said.... quote " I had one wave that felt like a Gnarloo wave"
Metts looked good wave-wise but not a lot of planing going on.
Think it must have been a lot winder from Lano up
Yeh Mike. Hbay, Was pretty good but the waves werent huge. head high to a bit over head... maybe 1/2 mast in the sets I am not too sure. Got better as the tide came in. Was fully lit on 4.7
Definately more wind north of Perth. And yeh only 3 of us out made for a solid couple of hours.
