Here's Muppetcam Nº1 of last weekends WSP Cervantes Speed Challenge.
For those who weren't there this year it was done at Thirsty Pt with a Radar gun on the beach (the black van) the run going in is with an almost straight on shore breeze (slight bit of side) in semi sheltered waters.
Was an absolutely glorious day out lotsa fun with lotsa people having fun
I have another one to do yet but may take a bit longer to edit and up load (this one took close to 5 hours)
Hope you like
I don't know what the wind speed was but we had whitecaps when we arrived at 10.30 (Greenhead would have been nice) and apart from about 1/2hr when the wind backed of around lunch it was game on all day.
The top guys were hitting 35-36 knots they were awesome to watch
I was well below that level
I definitely need some open water practice rather than flat estuary water as I found my skills a bit wanting
Top day out
