going there next week and wondering worth taking gear. has anyone sailed here? where is the best place to sail?

all flat water....... any wind direction works there if you drive across the point to the correct side you can find a cross shore spot
should be seabreezes blowing next week, and even if not seabreezes, the easterly can be good

And watch out for the Rays, they lift up out of the sand as you sail over them, watch out when you step off they get pretty big

i remember going to shark bay this time of year when i was really young all i remember about it was that my dad was kicking himself for not taking the windsurfing gear

Was up there about 7 weeks ago and had a heap of fun! Like the previous posts watch out for the waves and in the event you have a long fin keep an eye on the tide. Limestone reefs up near the campsite end and sandy at the other.

coz there are lots of sharks. We only saw little ones up to a metre but there were heaps of them.They were about 10 km from the town beach in the shallows. Just got back then. It was great!only one problem.NO WIND[}:)]the forcast changed from green all week to red and low yellow.Although no wind it was still good.
