Feel ya Pain stoney, thats why I do slalom and speed no need for waves, sailed heaps all summer while wavesailors have had only a few sessions. There 's a million other things to do, I'm sure you'll find something, tho I have tried so many sports, and struggled to find anything that does it 4 me like w/s

Feel ya Pain stoney, thats why I do slalom and speed no need for waves (went to beach 3 or 4 times this year with wave gear, and no fn waves), but sailed heaps all summer on slalom/speed gear while wavesailors have had only a few sessions. There 's a million other things to do, I'm sure you'll find something, tho I have tried so many sports, and struggled to find anything that does it 4 me like w/s. My big fear is WTF am I gonna do when I cant wsurf anymore

The closest I eva got to windsurfing was Mixed Martial Arts, never have to worry about the weather, and its heaps of fun, always learning, get very fit, and can be exhilarating when fighting. Pity this old fat body wont tolerate it anymore Coz thats what I'd love to do more of, thinking of going back and doing weapons training which is less demanding on body

i dont get it... why would i take up kiting -
ive had a great summer (apart from injury) out on the ocean this year. nothing like a long carve gybe on open ocean swells a couple of km out, and checking out the coastline from out there with good mates and pushing each other. plenty of breeze this season too.

Whilst I am in with you and enjoy the long blasts out wide I am surprised you think there has been planty of breeze this summer??? For me it just hasnt been as consistent as other seasons, particularily at Dutchies. And what about this warm ocean temps what is that all about???? Weird.

Any theories on linking ocean temps and impact on wind.

Dangles it is the La Nina pattern and it always does it. Last one about 5 yrs ago resulted in a below average season also. This one is just really strong

I am pinning my hopes on a better than average winter.......?

Well if that is the case may I suggest young La Nina pack up all her trusty side kicks ( actually ok to leave a couple of young hot Euro chick mates) and head back were ever La Nina lives!!! . Yes bring on winter I say....

there are other sports that do it for me almost as much as w/s.

just finished 2 sets of tennis, the thrill is hitting that well executed shot + winning.

tabletennis, don't laugh is a great sport, has it's share of addicts just like w/s.

i tried squash but my body was telling me gtfooh. had to reluctantly give it away.

golf, the tranquility, anybody played at magnificent Araleun in Armadale.

lawn bowls,bridge club, jigsaw puzzles?
