I'm hearing rumors of this HA foil dropping onto the market soon.
As a light wind option I'm thinking this one could be another game changer.
Maybe not very rippable because of the wingspan but given the pedigree of the other 2 Armie HA foils - a pumper & glider of note!

Here's to hoping the rumors are true!

Anyone have any info on this possible release.?

There was apparently a 1325 available for demo at the AWSI in Hood River this weekend. I have no further details. Would like to know the AR or span.

I'm guessing same AR as the 925 & 1125...
Really looking forward to this release!

given their sizes scale linear, with 96 mm span differences and 200cm2 surface area between 1125 and 925, specs should be similar to

calculations to determine aspect ratio
a = wing span
b = surface area
ar = aspect ratio

therefore
ar = a x a / b

If the HA725 is a wing with a span of 800 and surface area of 840cm2, take my money now!

I'd rather sacrifice aspect ratio for more volume and less span, speaking as a foiler of 95-100kg and less foil isn't always more.

I like to wing and majority of foiling is kiting, drifting kite and carving harbour chop and powered carving turns, and boosting jumps, would love to prone but I live in Sydney. A foil with a span over 800mm is just too wide for this, and you notice all the top foils of Armstrong for carving are less than 800mm wide, or even 700mm wide.

I can hold a lot of pressure into a powered kite foil carving turn, but 800mm span is max and anything over just throws me, and the 800 throws me often too as the g's are crazy really cranking turns under kite power.

When a foil is too high aspect, the minimum cruising speed goes up and you over run waves/chop too quickly, which quickly becomes boring, well if you like to carve that is.

I like speed too, but a mid aspect foil is more than enough and can usually reach 20-30knots, which is more than fast enough if you're not racing.

For sure the 1325 is not a wing for kiting but will be awesome for those of us over 85kg for light wind wing & downwind prone/sup riding ??

As long as it is not too wide, in my opinion over 1m is too wide, and turns are more drawn out, fun factor quickly diminishing depending on your use case, mine is kite/wing/prone.

I haven't ridden the HA1125, but I have ridden over 1m wings from other brands. I guess the guys who ride the HA1125 can speak to that.

The Phantasm 926 foil looks great and is 1233cm2, 926mm, aspect ratio 6.95

I'd say the Phantasm is more similar to the hs1250 than the ha1125 but more like the Axis bsc range or Shinn supahydro.
you really should try the Armstrong ha wings the 925 is amazing, wide but super fast and turny

They are close. Guys are chopping them already. I will get one and chop it to get it to turn, there should still be enough glide still. www.facebook.com/groups/194277485335294/permalink/446427740120266/

ok but are we sure that 1325 chopped (surface about 1125) is overall better than 1125? i think having 1125 i will definitely keep 1325 unchopped for maximum support + glide ..... but we'll see

I am 105kg so found the 1125 a bit on the dainty side.

If the area is 1325 sq. cm. and the span is 116.4 cm. then the aspect ratio is 10.2:1. If true, that's the highest aspect ratio I've seen for a front foil wing to date! It will be interesting to hear feedback.

Some other similar HA ratio wings tend to carry more of their area out towards the wing tips and appear to have a narrower chord -- not sure how this translates on the water performance wise.

Having broader tips reduces the local loading at the tips and makes tip stall less likely, however you can also do that with washout (twist) or a reduction in camber at the tips (aerodynamic twist). Without being able to inspect the wing closely its hard to say what path Armstrong have taken, however the number of people who report less tip stall when Armstrong HA wings are chopped suggests that the the tips are a little overloaded.
